Pair Antique Stained Glass Sidelites 12.25 X 79.25 Each Salvage
This is a great pair of sidelites that were salvaged from a Baltimore Victorian Home. They have great colors and design with a lily at the top of each. The original frames are painted on both sides. Each measures 12.25 inches wide, 79.25 inches tall and is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approximately 8.5 by 64.25. Overall they are in good condition. Scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely. Each has one piece of glass with tight hairlines. One of the frames has a chip, we have the piece and it is taped in place. The paint is chippy and peeling. Please look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! This exceptional pair of heavy Victorian scent bottles have etched glass and sterling silver tops. The glass is beautifully etched in a design depicting bows and roses. The sterling silver tops are engraved in the same design and have an oval cartouche and monogram. They have British hallmarks, are marked STERLING and have the number 2941D on the side of the stopper. Each bottle measures 6″ tall by 3″ wide. Together, they weigh almost 2 1/2 pounds. Lamp only and no bulb no shade. Please check the photos for details and flaws. A large and exuberantly decorated Japanese Satsuma millefleur covered Lamp, Showa period, mid 20th century, Japan. The large Lamp of attractive baluster form, with a slightly splayed foot, narrow waist, and tapered body with high shoulders and short neck. The lamp topped by a domed cover with a large finial shaped like a hoju, the wish fulfilling jewel. The Lamp decorated all over in a dense field of flowering blossoms – peony, lotus, and chrysanthemum – in a design known as millefleur, or a thousand flowers. The flowers freely and cheerfully painted in various colors of red, white, orange, green, blue and yellow, with raised white enamels and gilt highlights. Interspersed between the flowers, are large, brightly gilt reserves painted with images and calligraphy from the Japanese classic, Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, an anthology of one hundred waka (poems) by one hundred poets.
