PAIR Antique Solid Brass French Lyre Harp Wired Double Sconces Old Verdigris Paint? These are super high quality and very charming and beautiful! They appear to have been recently wired… A vintage to antique pair of solid brass double arm electric sconces waiting for a new home! These are a pair and I want to point out that one has significant more green than the other. I believe this is old paint. It may be that one has been cleaned of the old paint. The sconce that is more brass in color appears to have had a repair done where the 2 arms flare out. It is very solid and sturdy. Please view all the photos. Gorgeous fluted detail to the bobeches or candle cups that each have 8 holes for crystal prisms. Fluting on oval back plate. A lovely French Lyre design to the back. Gorgeous trio of 3 realistic and detailed leaves. These sconces also had glass prisms that hung from the brass scrolls as you can see the holes at the end of each scroll and top 4 wires (10) for a total of 26 prisms in total per sconce. You can imagine the lovely light reflected with the solid brass when they have crystal prisms. I know many antique and vintage lighting collectors like to add the prisms they have collected or choose to leave them off. It can be a fun project to find the style, shape and number that you need for your lighting! The sconces are of good weight as well. Weigh over 4 pounds for the pair. They measure 14 1/2 inches in height or length. 8 inches spread at the widest point. The fluted oval back plate that mounts to the wall is 3 3/4 inches width. 5 1/2 inches in length. I have looked all over for old marks as to the maker or manufactured but there are none. They are a great pair and waiting to grace a home with their quality and beauty!
