Pair Antique Brass 2 Arm Victorian Era Gas/Electric Wall Sconces for Restoration
Pair Antique Brass 2 Arm Victorian Era Gas/Electric Wall Sconces for Restoration. They measure 19″ High x 12″ Wide. When these were originally manufactured they had 2 electric lights on the arms and the cast flame on top was connected to the gas line. The arms are hollow and a former owner decided to rewire them on the outside holding them with wire to the arms. There were little holes drilled to push the wire through the sconces. All of the parts seem to be here. The canopies which slide to the wall need attention at the attachment points and also a little straightening. Approximately 23″ high 10″ wide 5 1/2 deep. Exquisite detail throughout with 2 lights each. Wear commensurate of age and use. One may wish to polish but these display beautifully as they are.
