The vases are sterling silver (pure silver Jungin), one is decorated with mixed elements of pure gold and copper. The vases are different by decoration, makers, and condition. Makers/Marks: pure silver, Meiji period, properly marked, different Japanese makers. Similar Japanese style vases have been extremely successful on Sotheby’s and Christie’s, here are a few examples. 1372 Grams or 48.4 Ounces! Both vases have similar dimensions. Standing 9 and 1/2 inches (241-242 mm) tall, it has a width of roughly 5 inches (127-130 mm) wide. The vase with bird is in excellent condition, gold and copper are perfect, clean and shiny jungin silver, probably some microscopic scratches/dents. The vase with flowers is in good estate condition, it has scratches and shallow dents. The “bird” vase is pure silver with gold and copper decoration. The floral vase is pure silver, no other metals.
